Desam Reopens!
After a brief pause, we’re happy to announce that Desam is open again!
Many of you know about the LPG shortage that affected the entire F&B industry during the recent war escalations. Unfortunately, it coincided with Bir’s busiest season. With gas supplies running dry and electric cooking unable to keep up, we had no choice but to shift to traditional wood-fired stoves, which could only be operated on our ground floor.
As a result, Desam remained closed for nearly three months during peak season.
What could have been a setback turned into a reminder of the incredible spirit of our team. With an overwhelming rush at our café, the entire Desam staff came together to support operations, ensuring timely service and taking care of every guest.
Today, we’re back—grateful, stronger, and more committed than ever to bringing authentic flavors to the mountains with the same passion and consistency you’ve always known us for.
