When we first imagined it, we wanted to create a stay where books weren’t just decoration—they were the heart of the experience. A place where you could spend an afternoon lost in a novel, wake up to mountain views, brew yourself a cup of coffee, and let time move a little slower.
We’re excited to share that The Attic Library has found a new home.
While the location has changed, everything that made it special has stayed with it—and we’ve added even more.
A Thoughtfully Reimagined Stay
Our new Attic Library has been built around the same philosophy: living with and within a library.
The cottage now offers a more spacious layout with a comfortable bedroom, a private kitchen and dining area, a peaceful back garden, and of course, the attic library that gives the space its name. Hundreds of books line the shelves above, creating a cosy retreat that quite literally puts a library over your head.
Just outside, a gentle stream flows beside the property, adding another layer of calm to your mornings and evenings.

Like every AVVAs Stays experience, this space has been created with care.
Inspired by traditional Himachali architecture and brought together with the craftsmanship of local artisans, the new Attic Library celebrates the beauty of building thoughtfully—without losing the warmth and authenticity that made the original so loved.
Every corner invites you to slow down, read a little longer, write a little more, or simply do nothing at all.
Close to Everything, Yet Wonderfully Quiet
The new location sits just a short walk from AVVAs Café and the Bir landing site, making it easy to explore the town while still enjoying a peaceful escape surrounded by greenery.
Whether you’re visiting Bir for paragliding, remote work, a creative retreat, or simply to pause for a few days, The Attic Library offers a space that encourages you to disconnect from the noise and reconnect with yourself.
